How to use the timer
- Pick your region and a schedule model (A is the default). The page guesses from your device time zone and remembers your choice on this device.
- Read the countdown. Each opening is shown in your local time and on the UTC+9 clock.
- Press Remind me and allow notifications to get an alert before each opening while this tab is open.
- Press Add next 7 days to calendar to download an .ics file with the next week of openings and an alert on each. It is built in your browser and saved in UTC.
- Compare with the in-game countdown. If it differs, trust the game and tell us.
How the Spacetime Rift works
The Spacetime Rift is a recurring cross-faction event. Except where marked NC, this comes from community trackers and datamines.
- It opens every 3 hours, 8 times a day.
- The event runs about 60 minutes.
- The entry portal stays open about 10 minutes at the start. Some trackers say 5, so get there early.
- Inside: cross-faction PvP, Sealed Dungeons, special quests and Abyss Points.
- Trackers list level 45 and up.
- NC: it is a cross-faction mode. The other faction comes from the server yours is paired with, and NC changes pairings periodically.

Korea and Taiwan are not Global servers. Four trackers list the same hours for Korea (Seoul time) and three for Taiwan (Taipei time). These are not Global servers. They list 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, 23:00 local time.
Why Global hours differ between trackers
NC has not published Global rift hours, and none of its Global notices mention them. Every tracker is a community reading. All agree on the cycle (every 3 hours), the 60 minute event and level 45. They disagree on the clock:
- Model A, one UTC+9 clock (four trackers, default). AION2 Hub, MetaBot and allthings.how list 00:00, 03:00 and so on on a UTC+9 clock for every Global region, and questlog.gg counts down to the same moments. That is every 3 hours from 00:00 UTC.
- Model C, each region on its own clock (one tracker). Shugo.GG switched to this on 9 October: 02:00, 05:00 and so on in New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Seoul, and it says the local hour stays the same when clocks go back. It used to show a shared clock, so older copies of its data say otherwise.
- Model B, the Korea schedule (one tracker). Talentbuilds says NA, EU, SA and JP follow Korea's 02:00, 05:00 and so on. The Aion 2 Maps datamine note also starts at 02:00 server time.
Until the EU clock change on Oct 25 and the US change on Nov 1, Models A and C give identical openings in Europe, NA East and NA West, so players saw confirmed times that fit both. They never match in SA / LA or Asia. The clock change is the test: on that day the in-game countdown will settle which model holds, and we will update the default. See our editorial policy. Last checked 2026-10-14.
Daylight saving changes
What changes depends on the model:
- Models A and B: fixed in UTC. Korea Standard Time has no daylight saving, so these openings never move in UTC. Your wall clock moves, so each opening shows one hour earlier after your clocks go back.
- Model C: the local hour stays put and the UTC moment moves one hour later when a region's clocks go back.
- Oct 25, 2026: EU clocks go back one hour.
- Nov 1, 2026: US clocks go back one hour.
The countdown and the calendar file are computed in UTC for the model you pick, so they follow the change on their own. If you wrote times down by hand, update them. A calendar file imported before the change keeps the old model's moments, so download it again after you see the in-game result.
FAQ
When does the next Spacetime Rift open?
Use the countdown at the top of this page. Rifts open every 3 hours, 8 times a day, but NC has not published the Global clock. Trackers describe three models: A, a fixed UTC+9 clock with openings at 00:00, 03:00 and so on in UTC (four trackers, our default); C, each region's own local clock at 02:00, 05:00 and so on, following daylight saving (one tracker, newly switched on 9 October); and B, the Korea schedule (one tracker). Pick a model on the timer and check the in-game countdown.
How long is the rift portal open?
Most sources say about 10 minutes at the start of the event. Talentbuilds says 5 minutes, so get there early. The whole event runs about 60 minutes.
Can the timer remind me before the rift opens?
Yes. Press the reminder button under a countdown, allow notifications when your browser asks, and pick how many minutes before. The alert fires only while this page stays open in a tab. For alerts with the tab closed, download the calendar file and import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Why do I not get a notification?
Browsers only ask for permission after you press the button. If you pressed Block, re-allow notifications for this site in your browser settings. iPhone Safari does not support web notifications in a normal tab, so use the calendar file there. Some phones also hold alerts from background tabs.
Will the times change when daylight saving ends?
It depends on the model. Under A and B the openings are fixed in UTC, so your wall clock moves one hour when your clocks go back (EU on Oct 25, US on Nov 1, 2026). Under C the local hour stays the same and the UTC moment moves. Until those dates, A and C give the same times in Europe, NA East and NA West, so the clock change is the test. Compare the in-game countdown that day. The timer and the calendar file are computed in UTC.
Are Global and Korea rift times the same?
Not clearly. Korea opens at 02:00, 05:00 and so on, Seoul time, and Taiwan at the same numbers in Taipei time. Model B says Global follows the Korea numbers. Models A and C say it does not. NC has not published Global hours.
What level do I need for the rift?
Trackers list level 45 and up. NC has not published a requirement.
