Aion 2 gear stats are named in two ways. Some stats carry a mode label, such as PvE Damage Boost or PvP Damage Tolerance. Most do not. We went through the base stats of 418 items worn by 1,600 strong level 45 characters to see where the labelled ones appear and how common they are. This guide reports what the data shows, flags what it cannot show, and gives an editorial reading of the trade-offs. It does not give damage formulas, because none are published.
What counts as a stat in this data
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Each item page in the item database lists the base stats from the official item endpoint, plus the stat values at the most common enchant level. The note on the data says that per-wearer sub stats and gem rolls are not published, so everything here is base value only. A character's real total comes from base stats, enchant levels, stones and effects that we cannot see.
That limit shapes the whole page. When we say a stat is rare on worn gear, we mean rare as a base stat on the item. A PvP bonus could still reach a character through a track that sits outside item base stats, such as the Potential track described in the enchanting guide. We do not count those here.
Every base stat, by mode label
Official-sample 2026-10-18
The table lists each stat seen on worn items, which slots carry it, how many items carry it, and the share of worn pieces whose item carries it. Arcana attributes are left out of the table and described below, because each Arcana slot has its own family of attributes.
| Stat | Mode label | Slots | Items | Share of worn pieces |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Defense | No mode label | earrings, rings, belt, chest, bracelets, necklace, shoulders, helmet, legs, gloves, cape, boots | 306 | 72.9% |
| Attack | No mode label | earrings, rings, bracelets, off hand, necklace, main hand | 151 | 44.9% |
| HP | No mode label | belt, chest, shoulders, helmet, legs, gloves, cape, boots | 225 | 38.6% |
| Penetration | No mode label | runes, amulet | 5 | 14.3% |
| Accuracy | No mode label | off hand, main hand | 69 | 9.9% |
| Critical Hit | No mode label | off hand, main hand | 69 | 9.9% |
| Combat Speed | No mode label | runes | 1 | 9.2% |
| Multi-hit Chance | No mode label | runes | 1 | 9.2% |
| HP Potion Recovery increase | No mode label | belt | 3 | 5% |
| Weapon Damage Boost | No mode label | amulet | 3 | 5% |
| Power Shard Damage Bonus | No mode label | amulet | 2 | 4.4% |
| Perfect Chance | No mode label | amulet | 1 | 3.2% |
| Block | No mode label | main hand | 35 | 3.1% |
| Regeneration | No mode label | belt | 1 | 2.6% |
| PvE Damage Boost | PvE label | runes | 1 | 9.2% |
| PvE Damage Tolerance | PvE label | runes | 1 | 9.2% |
| PvP Damage Boost | PvP label | amulet | 1 | under 0.1% |
Official-sample 2026-10-18 Worn pieces are counted per slot position among 418 items with base stats. Sample: n=1,600 characters (top 200 per class), sampled 2026-10-18.
The most common stat is Defense, on 72.9% of worn pieces. Attack follows at 44.9%. Neither carries a mode label.
Where the PvE labelled stats are
Official-sample 2026-10-18
One item carries PvE labelled base stats, all in the runes slot. That is Clash Rune, worn on 91% of rune positions across the sample.
Its labelled stats are PvE Damage Boost (0.5%) and PvE Damage Tolerance (0.5%). The same item also carries Combat Speed (1%), Penetration (100) and Multi-hit Chance (1%). Because 91% of rune positions hold this item, the PvE labelled stat is widespread in the sample. That makes it a baseline, not a way to tell characters apart.
The item's page also shows how the values change with enchant level. Its PvE Damage Tolerance gains from enchanting at the common level. Rune enchant rules are in the gear guide.
Where the PvP labelled stats are
Official-sample 2026-10-18
One item carries PvP labelled base stats, in the amulet slot: Fierce Battle Amulet. It is worn 22 times across 8 classes.
Its labelled stat is PvP Damage Boost at 10%. We cannot compare that number with the PvE value on the rune. The two stats are named differently, sit on different slot types, and no source says how they scale. A bigger percentage does not mean a bigger effect.
Because PvP labelled stats cover under 0.1% of worn pieces, this sample of strong level 45 characters does not show a separate PvP gear tier in item base stats. If you play PvP, read the PvP guide for the modes and the enchanting guide for the Potential track. Neither is reproduced here.
Which base stats move with enchanting
Official-sample 2026-10-18
For items with a recorded common enchant level, the item data gives the base stat value at that level next to the bonus the enchant adds. The table counts how many items show a non-zero bonus per stat. It describes the values we see at the most common level, not the maximum.
| Stat | Items checked | With a bonus | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Defense | 111 | 111 | 100% |
| HP | 81 | 81 | 100% |
| Attack | 67 | 67 | 100% |
| Accuracy | 37 | 0 | 0% |
| Critical Hit | 37 | 0 | 0% |
| Block | 23 | 0 | 0% |
| Time [Siel] | 2 | 2 | 100% |
| Illusion [Kaisinel] | 2 | 2 | 100% |
| Combat Speed | 1 | 0 | 0% |
| Penetration | 1 | 0 | 0% |
| Multi-hit Chance | 1 | 0 | 0% |
| PvE Damage Boost | 1 | 0 | 0% |
| PvE Damage Tolerance | 1 | 1 | 100% |
| Life [Yustiel] | 1 | 1 | 100% |
| Freedom [Vaizel] | 1 | 1 | 100% |
| Destruction [Zikel] | 1 | 1 | 100% |
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Defense, HP, Attack, Time [Siel], Illusion [Kaisinel], PvE Damage Tolerance, Life [Yustiel], Freedom [Vaizel] and Destruction [Zikel] always show a bonus where checked. Accuracy, Critical Hit, Block, Combat Speed, Penetration, Multi-hit Chance and PvE Damage Boost show no bonus at the common level. This says which stats respond to enchant stones, which matters when you decide how much to invest in a slot. The enchant priorities guide shows where players spend them.
Which gear type carries which stats
Official-sample 2026-10-18
| Gear type | Base stats seen |
|---|---|
| Weapons | Attack, Accuracy, Critical Hit, Block |
| Armor | Defense, HP |
| Accessories | Combat Speed, Penetration, Multi-hit Chance, PvE Damage Boost, PvE Damage Tolerance, Attack, Defense, Power Shard Damage Bonus, Weapon Damage Boost, Perfect Chance, HP, HP Potion Recovery increase, Regeneration, PvP Damage Boost |
| Arcana | 10 named attributes, for example Time [Siel], Life [Yustiel], Space [Israphel] |
Official-sample 2026-10-18 Aggregated over every item with base stats in the item database.
Read the table as a division of labour. Weapons carry offensive stats, armor carry defensive ones, and accessories mix both. The amulet slot is the odd one out, with 2 items and a stat list unlike the other accessories, for example Revelation Amulet.
Trade-offs: how to think about PvE and PvP choices
Editorial 2026-10-19
- The mode labels barely differentiate gear. With 9.2% of worn pieces carrying a PvE label and under 0.1% a PvP label, you will rarely face a choice between a PvE piece and a PvP piece at the base-stat level.
- Enchant level matters more than the label. The stats that grow with enchanting are Defense, HP, Attack, Time [Siel], Illusion [Kaisinel], PvE Damage Tolerance, Life [Yustiel], Freedom [Vaizel] and Destruction [Zikel], so a large enchant gap on one piece can outweigh a mode label.
- Slot choice is a bigger lever. Spiritforged Bow and Bakarma Breastplate define most characters' base attack and defence. Mode-labelled stats sit on only 2 slot types, while ordinary pieces such as Pilgrim Ring and Anguish Boots carry only unlabelled stats.
- Do not swap a piece for a label alone. Without sub stats or a conversion formula, a label is not a reason to replace an item you have enchanted.
If a patch adds new labelled gear, the share figures above will move on the next refresh, and this section will need a second look.
Not confirmed yet
These points have no reliable Global source yet. Do not plan around them.
- How base stats convert into damage or survival in PvE and in PvP. NC publishes no formula.
- Sub stats and gem rolls on worn items. The official data does not show them per character.
- Whether a stat without a PvE or PvP prefix applies equally in both modes.
- Whether PvE or PvP labelled stats exist on gear that no strong character in our sample wears.
- Whether the Potential track and other PvP boosts are counted differently from base stats in combat.

Aion 2 PvE vs PvP stats on gear FAQ
Which Aion 2 gear stats are PvE only?
Stats whose official id starts with PvE. In our sample one item carries them, worn on 9.2% of worn pieces.
Which gear stats are PvP only?
Stats whose id starts with PvP. In our sample they cover under 0.1% of worn pieces, across 1 item.
Is PvP gear separate from PvE gear?
At the base-stat level, nearly all worn pieces carry no mode label, so there is no clear separate set in the data we hold. That does not rule out PvP effects that come from other systems.
Does the data include sub stats?
No. The item data lists base stats only and says per-wearer sub stats and gem rolls are not published.
Should I enchant for PvE or PvP?
We cannot tell from the data. Enchanting raises the same base stats in both modes. See the enchanting guide for rates and costs.
Why compare share of worn pieces and not item counts?
An item that many characters wear says more about real gear than an item that almost nobody wears, so we weight by wear.
How current is this page?
The numbers come from n=1,600 characters (top 200 per class), sampled 2026-10-18 and refresh daily.
