Aion 2 PvP: who you fight

Each server holds one faction. Every Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian one, so both factions have a home and still meet in shared PvP spaces like the Abyss. In the Abyss and other cross-faction modes, Spacetime Rifts named explicitly, the other faction comes from your matched server. NC's example is Asmodian Israphel with Elyos Siel.

• Pairings are "for a limited time" and NC updates them to keep factions balanced. The notice is updated continuously, so check it for the latest list.
• The 4 Oct list for NA East includes Kaisinel with Lumiel, Yustiel with Marchutan, Ariel with Azphel, Fregion with Ereshkigal, Meslamtaeda with Beritra and Hithanya with Nemon. Siel with Israphel, Nezekan with Zikel and Vaizel with Triniel are listed in each region. Europe, NA West, Latin America and Asia have their own lists.
• During Early Access, Abyss matching was between Early Access servers only. After launch, matching uses how far and how strong each server is.
• Server transfers work only inside the same faction and region, and you cannot request one from the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon.

NC confirms Abyss, Spacetime Rift, Abyss Corridor and Arena exist on Global. Season Rank Points for Abyss and Arena move with a transferred character. The Abyss Corridor on the destination server is only reachable if that server has captured it. Official 2026-10-14 Source

Abyss rules, access and Abyss Points

• The Abyss and the Arena unlock at level 45. The Lower Reshanta faction bases also need item level 1,000.
• Basic access is 7 hours per layer per week and drains only while you are inside. A Lower Abyss Rift Stone adds 1 hour, a lesser stone 30 minutes.
• In the Abyss, PvP is always on. Elsewhere, PvP needs PvP status on both sides. You can change your status only in your own territory, with a 70 minute cooldown. Attacking enemy citizens or Kisks forces it on for about 10 minutes.
• Flight Circles refill Flight Power. Wind Brew restores 2,000 Flight Power for 500 Abyss Points.
• Level 16 Defiance on every class removes Stun, Knockdown, Airborne, Grab, Frost and Fear and gives 5 seconds of immunity on a 60 second cooldown.

The 14 Oct patch caps accumulated Abyss entry time at 7 hours, adjusts Battlefield standard stats for combat duration, and reduces stutter in large Abyss fights. It does not say whether the 7 hours is per layer or per week. Official 2026-10-14 Source

Abyss Points come from Lower Reshanta Duty scrolls (1,000 each, 27 tasks), Middle Reshanta scrolls (2,000 each, 52 tasks), Duty Missions (1,000 plus 50,000 bound Kina) and Spacetime Rift regional quests (2,000 each). Weekly PvE and PvP gain limits and a season total exist. Quest and Supply Request points do not count toward the limit. The cap values are not in the client. Client-data 2026-10-14 Source

Client-data 2026-10-14 Source Each Potential step on a Unique item costs 100,000 points. A full +4 on one item is 400,000 points and 10 stones, and adds 2.0% PvP Damage Boost on a weapon. See the stigma and daevanion guides.

Abyss rank

Season 1 Abyss rank is per class, with 18 tiers from Ninth-Class Soldier to Supreme Commander. You need 1,500 Rank Points to enter the ranking. Supreme Commander is class rank 1 with 20,000,000 points. Tier buffs run from 1.2% to 5.0% PvP Damage Boost, PvP Damage Tolerance and PvE Abyss Damage Boost. Only the highest buff of Abyss, Arena of Solitude and Arena of Cooperation applies. Ranks update hourly.

Artifact Siege schedule and rewards

Artifact Siege in Chaotic Lower Reshanta runs Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 21:00 server time. MetaBot, Wikily, Wikirealm and aion2.run agree. aion2.run notes that NC has not published the time, so this is a client and in-game reading. One fan site lists 19:00. Observed 2026-10-14 Source

Client-data 2026-10-14 Source The artifacts are at Reshanta's Root, Sulfur Tree Island (Branding Island) and Archipelago of Siel's Wings (Grave of Steel).

• The Dimensional Core is level 65 in Lower Reshanta (80 in Middle). Binding takes 7 seconds, and the faction that lands the last strike wins the artifact.
• A notice appears 10 minutes before the siege ends. Capturing all artifacts ends it early.
• After a siege, an Abyss Corridor opens at each artifact for the holding faction, with 5 minutes of play. If a faction loses all artifacts on a layer, a Corridor spawns at its base for the disadvantaged faction only. The status lasts until the next siege or until server matchmaking changes.
• Silver Medal of Merit by contribution rank: ranks 1 to 2 get 3, ranks 3 to 40 get 2, ranks 41 to 1000 get 1.

Arena and Spacetime Rift

Client-data 2026-10-14 Source All matches have a 10 minute limit. Solitude and Cooperation use Fire Temple Arena and Impetusium Arena. Weekly caps reset on Wednesday 07:00 UTC.

• Season 1 ladders for Solitude and Cooperation rank you within your class, from Challenger 1 (class rank 1, 1,800 RP) down to Bronze (601 to 1,000, 500 RP). Challenger 1 gives a 5.0% buff, Bronze 1.2%. The season ends 16 Dec 2026 07:00 UTC.
• Abandoning a match counts as a defeat, and repeated abandoning locks you out of the Arena for a set time.
• Two more Battlefield maps exist in the client but are not in rotation: Stormslumber Snowfield (banner capture) and Sandstorm Temple (first to 1,500 points holding bases).

Spacetime Rift

Rifts connect Verteron and Altgard (and Eltnen and Morheim). Six portals open from level 45, each for 10 minutes, with 1 hour of rift usage time. Fourteen repeatable level 45 rift quests pay 21,000 to 58,000 bound Kina, a Wisdom Stone, a Daevanion Crystal and 2,000 Abyss Points. NC names the Spacetime Rift as a cross-faction mode on the paired server.

Best PvP class and gear

There are no Global win rates yet, so we do not publish a PvP tier order as fact. MetaBot's Abyss table is kit analysis. The ranged trio of Spiritmaster, Sorcerer and Ranger is easiest in open sky. Cleric, Chanter and Templar are valuable in sieges. Assassin hunts stragglers.

• What the 14 Oct "maximum accumulated time for Abyss entry ... 7 hours" covers, and whether membership adds time.
• The current pairing list. NC updates the notice continuously, and our copy is the 4 Oct version.
• Weekly Abyss Point PvE and PvP cap values. They are server-side.
• Whether Arena of Tactics runs on the same hours outside the Launch Scale Test.
• Any official PvP balance statement for Global, and any Global win rate data.
