Aion 2 enchant priorities are easier to set when you can see where strong characters spend their stones. We read the enchant level of every worn item among 1,600 level 45 characters, the top 200 of each class by combat power, and summarised the median and the 90th percentile per slot and per class. The rules, rates and costs of enchanting live in the enchanting guide. This guide does not repeat them. It answers a different question: given a limited stone supply, where does the sample put it?
How to read the enchant numbers
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Each character has a median and a 90th percentile enchant per slot. The median is the level half of the class sits at or below. The p90 is the level only the top tenth reaches. For pooled figures we take the middle of the eight class medians (or p90s), so they describe a typical class, not an exact quantile of all characters. That is a choice made for readability, and it can differ slightly from a true pooled number.
Pair slots (earrings, rings, bracelets) are pooled across both positions. Enchant level is the level shown on the worn item. The armory does not record failed attempts, stones spent or Kinah spent, so we describe levels reached, not cost.
Every slot, pooled across classes
Official-sample 2026-10-18
The table runs from weapon to Arcana. Range is the lowest and highest class median in that slot. Usual cap is the most common maximum enchant level on worn items. The last column is the p90 as a share of that cap, a rough measure of how close the top tenth gets.
| Slot | Filled | Median | p90 | Class median range | Usual cap | p90 as share of cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main hand | 100% | 10 | 11.5 | 10 to 10 | +15 | 77% |
| Off hand | 100% | 8 | 10 | 5 to 10 | +15 | 67% |
| Helmet | 100% | 4 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Shoulders | 100% | 3.5 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Chest | 100% | 5 | 10 | 3 to 6 | +15 | 67% |
| Legs | 100% | 5 | 10 | 2 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Gloves | 100% | 3 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Boots | 100% | 3 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Cape | 100% | 3.5 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Necklace | 100% | 3 | 10 | 3 to 4 | +10 | 100% |
| Earrings | 100% | 2.8 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |
| Rings | 100% | 3 | 10 | 1 to 5 | +10 | 100% |

| Runes | 92% | 2 | 3 | 1 to 2 | +10 | 30% |
| Arcana | 10% | 0 | 2 | 0 to 1 | +2 | 100% |
Official-sample 2026-10-18 Sample: n=1,600 characters (top 200 per class), sampled 2026-10-18.
Ranked by median, the order is main hand (+10), off hand (+8), chest (+5), legs (+5), bracelets (+5) and helmet (+4). The top tenth reaches +10 or more on main hand, off hand, helmet, shoulders, chest, legs, gloves, boots, cape, necklace, earrings, rings and bracelets. It stays below +10 on belt, amulet and runes.
Weapons, armor and accessories compared
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Group the slots and a pattern shows. The weapon slots reach a median of +10, armor slots a typical +3.5 and the main accessory slots +3. Weapons are enchanted the furthest. Arcana, which most characters do not fill, shows a median of +0 where it is worn.
This matters when you plan stones. Spiritforged Bow is the most worn main hand, and it sits in a slot at the top median. Bakarma Breastplate leads the chest, which sits in the armor group. Pilgrim Ring leads rings, and Ascension Bracelet leads bracelets, in the accessory group.
The biggest gap between the median and the p90 is earrings (7.3 levels), followed by gloves (7). A big gap means a minority push the slot hard while most do not. It is where individual choice varies most, so it is the slot to look at if you are deciding whether to go deeper than the crowd.
Enchant investment by class
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Each cell is the class's median for that group of slots, averaged over the slots in the group. Armor averages the seven armor slots, accessories the necklace, earrings, rings and bracelets, and the last column the belt and amulet.
| Class | Main hand | Off hand | Armor | Accessories | Belt and amulet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | 10 | 8 | 4.4 | 2.9 | 0.5 |
| Templar | 10 | 5 | 4.6 | 3.4 | 0 |
| Assassin | 10 | 10 | 5.1 | 4.4 | 1 |
| Ranger | 10 | 10 | 4.1 | 3.6 | 0.3 |
| Chanter | 10 | 10 | 2.1 | 2.9 | 0 |
| Cleric | 10 | 7 | 1.9 | 2.3 | 0 |
| Sorcerer | 10 | 8 | 4 | 2.9 | 0 |
| Spiritmaster | 10 | 7 | 2.1 | 3.1 | 0.5 |
Official-sample 2026-10-18
All eight classes sit at the same main hand median, +10. For armor, Assassin has the highest average armor median (+5.1) and Cleric has the lowest (+1.9). Cleric is the most weapon-heavy by the ratio of main hand to armor (5.4), and Assassin the most balanced (1.9). Read the class pages for Assassin and Cleric for their gear lists, starting with your own class.
Each class's most and least enchanted slot
Official-sample 2026-10-18
Leaving weapons aside, here is the armor or accessory slot each class enchants most and least. It shows whether a class concentrates stones in one place.
| Class | Most enchanted (median) | Least enchanted (median) |
|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | 4 slots tied (5) | Rings (2) |
| Templar | 6 slots tied (5) | Rings (2.8) |
| Assassin | Chest (6) | Necklace (4) |
| Ranger | Chest, Legs and Bracelets (5) | Gloves, Necklace and Rings (3) |
| Chanter | Bracelets (4.5) | Shoulders and Boots (1) |
| Cleric | Chest (5) | 6 slots tied (1) |
| Sorcerer | Helmet, Chest and Legs (5) | Earrings (1.5) |
| Spiritmaster | Chest (5) | Shoulders, Boots and Cape (1) |
Official-sample 2026-10-18 Pair slots use the middle of their two positions.
Chest is the single most enchanted non-weapon slot for 3 of 8 classes (classes with several slots tied at the top are not counted). No single slot is a shared favourite, so players do not agree on a second priority.
A sensible priority order (editorial)
Editorial 2026-10-19
- Main hand first. It carries the highest median (+10) and a p90 of +11.5.
- Then off hand, chest and legs. These follow in the sample at +8 down to +5.
- Then the middle group. bracelets, helmet, shoulders and cape sit between +3.5 and +5.
- Leave the lowest slots for last. earrings sits at +2.8, amulet sits at +0 and belt sits at +0, and Arcana at +0.
- Check your class row. Gladiator and Spiritmaster show different patterns in the table above.
For a concrete slot, Anguish Boots leads the boots and Pilgrim Helm leads the helmets. Compare your own levels with the pooled table, not with the p90 column, unless you plan to push. For where each piece comes from, see the gear progression route. To look up one item before you spend stones on it, use the item database.
Not confirmed yet
These points have no reliable Global source yet. Do not plan around them.
- How much damage or survivability each enchant level adds in practice. No formula is published.
- How many stones or how much Kinah the sampled characters spent, because the armory shows levels only.
- Whether a character below the top group should copy these levels, since the sample is the strongest per class.
- Whether the median-of-medians we use for pooled rows differs from a true pooled median.
- How amplified enhancement appears in the armory data. We do not describe it here, and the enchanting guide covers the rules.

Aion 2 enchant priorities by slot FAQ
Which slot do strong characters enchant first?
The main hand slot has the highest median in our sample, at +10.
How high do armor pieces get enchanted?
The typical armor slot has a median of +3.5, and the top tenth reaches at least +10 in every armor slot.
Do all classes enchant the same way?
No. The main hand median runs from +10 for Spiritmaster to +10 for Gladiator.
Should I enchant Arcana?
Few characters fill Arcana (10% of positions), and the median where worn is +0. Treat it as a late step.
Where are the enchant rates and costs?
In the enchanting guide. This page covers where players invest, not the rules.
Is the p90 a target?
No. It is the level only the top tenth reaches. The median is a more useful reference for most players.
How current is this page?
It is built from n=1,600 characters (top 200 per class), sampled 2026-10-18 and refreshes daily.
