Aion 2 accessories and runes

TL;DR

Aion 2 accessories are mostly universal: 98% of accessory wearings in our sample come from items that no single class dominates. The rune slot holds one item, so most of the real choices are in the other slots.

Aion 2 accessories and runes fill 7 slot families: necklace, earrings, rings, bracelets, belt, amulet and rune. Unlike weapons, they are not locked to a class, so the useful question is which pieces strong characters of every class converge on, and where the choice splits by class. We answer it from the gear worn by 1,600 sampled level 45 characters (the top of each class by combat power) and from the official item data behind each piece.

Accessory slots at a glance

Official-sample 2026-10-18

The table shows, for each slot family, how many different items appear in the sample, the single most worn item name, its share of that slot's wearings and how many of the eight classes have that same item as their own most worn. Records that share a name and a base stat line (two records of one piece) are counted as one item, and shares combine all items of the same name. Items with the same name but a different grade are different items, so the top-three table below labels the grade.

Bracelets, belt, amulet and runes show the most agreement between classes (8 of 8) and earrings the least (6 of 8). Even the least aligned slot has a clear favourite.

The top three items in each slot

Official-sample 2026-10-18

Below are the three most worn items in each accessory slot except the rune. Piece item level is the number on the item. Universal means no single class supplies as much as a quarter of the item's wearings, since equal use across eight classes would be one eighth. Leaning marks items where one class supplies at least that quarter.

Universal pieces versus class-leaning pieces

Official-sample 2026-10-18

Across all 92 accessory items worn at least once, 48 lean toward one class and the rest are spread. Weighted by wear, class-leaning items account for 2% of accessory wearings. Among the 28 items worn at least 70 times, 0 lean.

That means accessories are mostly a shared pool. A piece found for one class can usually be worn by another, and a good drop is rarely wasted. Because the sample holds equal numbers of each class, a leaning item is one that a class picks more than chance would suggest, not one that a class is forced to wear. Item pages list the class split; open Clash Rune or any piece above to see it.

For class-specific context, see the gear lists on the Gladiator, Templar and Assassin class pages, and the builds index for the full set.

Runes: one item, two slots

Official-sample 2026-10-18

The rune slot holds Clash Rune, and nothing else appears in the sample. It is worn 2,925 times, and its piece item level is 40 with an equip level of 10. Rune positions are filled 92% of the time, so nearly every strong character has both runes.

Its sources are listed as Reward Chest, Quest. The median enchant is 2 and the p90 is 3, against a maximum of +10. Rune rules, including what happens on a failed attempt, are in the enchanting guide, and the stat list is explained in the PvE vs PvP stats guide.

The practical point is that the rune is a gap to close rather than a choice to make. If a rune slot is empty it is the cheapest upgrade in the accessory group, because there is no alternative to compare.

How far strong characters enchant accessories

Official-sample 2026-10-18

The table shows the pooled median and p90 enchant for each family next to the most common enchant cap among its worn items. The last column is the p90 as a share of the cap, a rough measure of how close the top tenth gets to the limit.

Accessory enchant against the cap

Earrings+102.810100%
Rings+10310100%
Bracelets+10510100%
Belt+1006.565%
Amulet+100770%
Runes+102330%

Official-sample 2026-10-18 Medians are the middle of the eight class medians. Cap is the most common maximum enchant level on worn items.

The top tenth reaches at least ninety percent of the cap on necklace, earrings, rings and bracelets. At the other end, runes stay under half the cap even at the p90.

Pair slots do not move together. The first position is enchanted higher than the second for earrings, rings and bracelets. Positions: earrings 3 and 2, rings 3 and 2.5, bracelets 5 and 4 (class-median of medians).

How to choose accessories (editorial)

Editorial 2026-10-19

  • Start with the universal favourite. Pilgrim Necklace and Pilgrim Ring are worn across classes, so you give up little by copying them.
  • Treat the amulet and belt as two single decisions. Revelation Amulet and Noble Belt are the most worn. These slots hold 4 and 3 items in the sample, so alternatives are few.
  • Enchant the first of each pair first. Pair positions differ in the sample, and the first position carries the investment.
  • Check the class column before you spend. No frequently worn accessory leans strongly toward one class. The item page shows which.
  • Do not chase the cap early. Runes sit far below the cap even for strong characters.

For where each accessory comes from, read the gear progression route. For the full ladder from the first level 45 setup, read first gear setup. The tier list is a separate opinion on classes and is not affected by accessory choice.

Not confirmed yet

These points have no reliable Global source yet. Do not plan around them.

  • Sub stats, gem rolls and random stat values on worn accessories. They are not published per character.
  • Whether a class-leaning accessory is better for that class, or only more available to it.
  • Why accessory pair positions differ, for example whether one position gets stones first by design or by habit.
  • The exact effect of each rune stat in combat. No source gives formulas.
  • Whether more rune types will be added. The sample shows a single rune item.

Aion 2 accessories and runes FAQ

Are Aion 2 accessories class-locked?

Mostly not. In our sample, class-leaning items account for 2% of accessory wearings, and the rest are shared across classes. Weapons are the class-bound slot.

What is the best necklace?

Pilgrim Necklace is the most worn necklace in our sample, at 35% of necklace wearings. Most worn is not the same as best. We have no stat formulas to rank them.

How many rune types are there?

Our sample shows 1 rune item. More may exist that no strong character wears.

Do I enchant both rings the same?

Strong characters do not. The first ring carries a higher median than the second.

Why are the amulet and belt different?

They draw on their own item pool: 4 amulets and 3 belts are in the sample, and their usual enchant cap is +10 and +10, against +10 for rings. See the table above.

How current is this page?

It is built from n=1,600 characters (top 200 per class), sampled 2026-10-18 and refreshes daily.
