The Aion 2 server transfer opened after the 13 October maintenance (14 October in Europe). It is free except for extra character slots, and you only get one transfer per account in the whole period. Read the limits below before you pick a destination.

Official 2026-10-14 Source Europe sees these one day later, on Wednesdays. The whole period ends before the 27 Oct (PDT) / 28 Oct (CET) maintenance.
You can only transfer inside a daily window for your region. The capacity counters refresh every hour on the hour.

The 03:30 vs 04:00 PDT mismatch
NC moved the first Europe and Asia round on 14 October 30 minutes earlier and added one Europe round. The same official page gives two start times, so check the in-game counter instead of trusting either number.

Server transfer cost and limits

Official 2026-10-14 Source Example: moving 6 characters into 4 free slots costs 2,000 Quna.
- You get one transfer per account for the whole period. It goes from one server to one other server. There is no cap on how many characters move in that one transfer.
- Same faction only (Elyos to Elyos, Asmodian to Asmodian) and same region only.
- Early Access servers receive only from Early Access servers. Launch servers receive only from launch servers.
- You use the slot count of the destination server. Slots you bought on the old server stay there.
- Once you confirm, the transfer cannot be canceled or reverted. It logs you out and takes at least 1 minute.
- NC wrote on 30 September that transfers would "initially be free". That matches the 0 Quna price now, except for slots. The notice also says the product may be sold again later in the same or a similar form.
Each server has its own limit on transfers in and out. A server can fill up early and close before the window ends. Try again in the next round. A server with too many requests can be closed to transfers in or out for good.
Instanced content, including dungeons, is cross-server. You do not need to transfer to run dungeons with friends. Official 2026-10-14 Source
What you need before you transfer
- Character level 10 or higher.
- Stand in a village. Not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon.
- No Legion, and no pending Legion application.
- No active Duty missions.
- Nothing unclaimed: no Market listings, proceeds or items waiting for collection, no unclaimed items in Shop Storage (this includes Founder's Pack items), and no unclaimed mail on the character.
- Move anything in Server Storage to your inventory or Character Storage first. Server Storage contents do not transfer.
What carries over to the new server

If you already own a Special Pet on the destination, you get a Pet Reward Ticket instead, valid to the 24 Nov (PST) maintenance. Duplicate decorative skins give a Skin (Single) Reward Ticket with the same expiry. See the pets guide and wings guide for what these systems do.
Which server to move to
Each server holds one faction. Every Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian server for cross-faction content for a limited time, and NC updates the pairings from time to time. NC said on 9 October that transfers would let you rejoin friends. Pick the server your friends are on, then check the in-game counter for room.
Not confirmed yet
These points have no reliable Global source yet. Do not plan around them.
- The exact transfer cap for each server. NC has not published it, and it does not say which servers are closed.
- Whether a second transfer period will follow after 27 or 28 October. NC says only that the product may be offered again.
- Whether the Elyos and Asmodian server pairings change after transfers.
- How transfers affect queue times at launch.

When can I transfer servers in Aion 2 Global?
From the 13 October (PDT) maintenance, 14 October in Europe. Early Access servers can transfer until before the 20 October maintenance. Launch servers can transfer from then until before the 27 October maintenance.
Is Aion 2 server transfer free?
The base fee and the per-character fee are 0 Quna. Each extra character slot on the destination server costs 1,000 Quna.
Can I switch faction or region?
No. You can only move to a server of the same faction in the same region.
How many transfers can I make?
One per account in the whole transfer period. You can move any number of your characters in that one transfer.
What do I need before I transfer?
A character at level 10 or higher, standing in a village, with no Legion and no active Duty missions. Nothing may be unclaimed in mail, Shop Storage or the Market.
Do my Kina, wings and pets move with me?
Yes. Kina in your inventory and Character Storage, wings, pets, Genus Crystals, skins, Arcana and Daevanion all carry over. Server Storage items do not.
What happens to my character name?
It becomes @TemporaryName and you choose a new name at your first login on the new server.
Why can't I transfer inside the window?
Your current server or the destination reached its transfer limit. The counters refresh every hour, so try again in the next round.
